Get the latest dirt on the San Onofre Nuclear Waste Dump.
The shuttered San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station is currently under at least two Federal investigations by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission involving safety failures with nuclear waste that’s deadly for millions of years.
Find out why the San Onofre Nuclear Waste Dump is failing to pass muster, and learn how a full-scale criminal investigation of Southern California Edison and the NRC is long overdue. You’ll also learn how State and Federal governments have failed to protect the public by removing vitally important emergency response capabilities at San Onofre.
Speakers Charles Langley and Nina Babiarz of Public Watchdogs (www.publicwatchdogs.org) will fill you in on the latest developments, and explain the effect of the Federal Government shutdown on its legal activity at San Onofre.
The Green Party of Orange County meets on the first Sunday of the month at 2:00 PM in the Community Meeting Room maintained by the Irvine Ranch Water District:
15500 Sand Canyon Rd. in Irvine
(about halfway between the 5 and 405 freeways)
Our County Council meetings are always held after the general meeting, and the public is invited.
They ask us to post this disclaimer on all meetings held there:
